What's the Sitch on Black Highlighters???

Okay. So basically, I found out about this trend like, 2 days ago when I was scrolling through my "very reliable latest news source" Facebook feed on my phone. I think it was Teen Vogue that piqued my interest, writing about the launch of Jeffree Star's black highlighter.

My initial reaction?

I've read about and seen the craziest highlighter shades from the pale, metallic ones to the unicorn rainbow ones but black?? Whh- How?

Anyway, Teen Vogue's article on Jeffree Star had a lot to say but just like any other ordinary commuting human being, I jumped the words and had my eyes fixated on those glittery photos captured from Jeffree's Instagram account.

One of the photos showed his two shades and Jeffree's fingers that most likely rubbed on the pallette but it looked like he just rubbed his fingers on a pencil drawing or something?

So I took the opportunity to see if people actually tried this trend (which I'm sure they did) and how it looked like on the face and

Nope. Definitely not our thing unless we wanna channel a more glamorous version of Dick Van Dyke from the original Mary Poppins on a storybook-themed Halloween party or use it to create smokey eyes.
