UPSIZE PH | VxLierge is a dream come true for Lierge Perey and Vice Cosmetics

VxLierge is more than just a makeup collection. It is the result of a year's collaboration between influencer and content creator Lierge Perey and nine-year-old Filipino beauty brand Vice Cosmetics.

Lierge is known for her comprehensive and informative reviews on TikTok. While she is known for being beautiful and sexy, she is also a beauty nerd at heart who remains fascinated with different formulas, shades, and textures even after all these years.

As a brand, Vice Cosmetics is an OG. It was the first Filipino beauty brand to offer Filipinos more diverse shades via its face bases and powders.

"I think that as a brand, one of our contributions to the beauty industry is that we are able to provide high performance formulas at affordable prices," said Vice Cosmetics co-CEO Ana Samaco.

"We started out by expanding the available shades for face bases because at that time, no one was doing that. But we also made sure that quality remained good and consistent," said Vice Cosmetics co-CEO Cathy Lao.

With six blush palettes, three brontour palettes, three eyeshadows, eight lip liners, and six lipsticks, one can only imagine the work that went into VxLierge.

"I am a perfectionist and I really wanted my ideas to come to life. I am very grateful to Vice Cosmetics for helping me make this dream come true," said Lierge.

Working with Lierge on VxLierge were Vice Cosmetics' co-CEOs Ana Samaco and Cathy Lao.

"Our team had to make an extra trip to China for one week just to ensure that all the shades are perfect," said Lao.

Samaco recalled that whenever Lierge would go to the Vice Cosmetics office, she would stay until the early evening. All their arms would be filled with swatches because Lierge wanted to see the colors on different skin tones.

"She was really very hands on with VxLierge. She pushed us in terms of colors, textures, and even the cases. She is very meticulous and I admire that in her," said Samaco.

"I really appreciate Vice because they took a risk and they believed in me," said Lierge.

VxLierge is a collection of palettes for the eyes and face, lip liners, and lipsticks. Some of the shades, especially for the eyes and lips, are more unconventional. For example, one of the lipsticks is a true cool-toned brand. The smokey eye palette also has shades not usually seen in Filipino beauty eye makeup.

That is what Lierge meant when she said Vice Cosmetics took a risk with the collection.

"Filipino consumers are now more experimental when it comes to beauty. They have access to makeup they can play around with and Vice Cosmetics is a brand that provides them with products that lets them do that," said Lao.
