GrabChat is Grab's instant messaging in-app service where you can seamlessly contact your driver for faster pickup. In its extensive beta testing involving 50,000 users across the region, the service has contributed to overall ride experience by helping drivers locate passengers easily.

Grab is the first ride-hailing app to provide instant messaging in Southeast Asia (available on iOS and Android).

Brian Cu, Grab's Country Head cites that in the Philippines where mostly both drivers and passengers still rely on phone calls and text messages to communicate, GrabChat is most efficient as it makes transport freedom possible by minimizing call and text charges.

All you need is a wi-fi connection and you're good to go! Once you book a ride, the GrabChat icon will appear on your screen.

The app also launched Grab for Work for companies and individuals. Reducing paperwork, increased savings in affordable rides, and cost control and management are only some of the benefits of using this free service. Basically, Grab shows you a tally of your ride history so you can track your Grab transport expenses easier.

It is also fully integrated with Concur, an easy-to-use business travel and expense management app (available on iOS and Android) which would be most useful for companies and businesses to have synced information with their employees.

Businesses also benefit from Grab for Work because of the transparency it offers. Consolidated statements will let you know when and where your employees are traveling.
