Issy & Co. Debuts Skincare Collection With Serums, Cleansing Balms
Filipino brand Issy & Co. is known for its Active Skin Tint and other well-priced makeup products such as concealers, lipsticks, lip glosses, blush and brow products.
“We’ve always wanted to be the beauty brand we wished we had growing up and we strive to understand what you need and want,” said Joel Andrade, Issy & Co. co-founder and creative director.
The brand’s newly-launched skincare line promises the same inclusive, beginner-friendly and easy-to-use experience as its makeup products.
“We want to emphasize the importance of starting a skincare routine as early as possible, because that way, you’ll have less skin issues to deal with as you get older. And it’s never too late to start caring for your skin, too!” said Andrade.
Dubbed Skincare for Cool Folks, the collection introduces the Booster Serum and the Cleansing Butter.
The Booster Serum, which is priced at Php599 each, has four variants: The Multi-Nourishing Drops, which contains a medley of extracts from the edelweiss flower, sea daffodil and seawater algae combined with key active ingredients to fully recharge skin and give antioxidant protection; the Hydrating & Soothing Drops, which has a combination of beta glucan, peptides and gold leaves skin fresh and supple; the Refining & Clarifying Drops, which contain rapeseed oil and licorice root extract that helps minimize blemishes and improve skin texture; and the Serum Balancing Drops, which has lactic acid, kaolin clay and zinc gluconate to help keep excess oil at bay.
Issy & Co. encourages users to layer the serums or, as its consultant Slo Lopez showed during the online launch, add a few drops to cream blush or to concealer for a lit-from-within glow.
The Cleansing Butter, a do-it-all melting balm, is especially made for double cleansing. Priced at Php549 each, it comes in two variants. The Nourishing Melt is for those with normal skin types sensitive skin and the Calming Melt is for sensitive skin.
