There's something very comforting about Ligo Sardines. When we get tired of eating meat or when it's raining, Ligo Sardines is our go-to food. There's nothing more satisfying than a can of Ligo enjoyed with a plateful of steaming rice.

In this pandemic, Ligo donated its entire 2020 advertising budget to nongovernment organizations, charities and individual groups serving as frontliners in COVID-19 relief and response operations.

In its Instagram page, Ligo Sardines also showed that it's a brand that is socially conscious.

Thus, when it came to partnering with a fashion brand, it was no surprise that Ligo Sardines chose Zarah Juan, a social enterprise that celebrates Filipino heritage with humor and wit and takes up important causes through their designs.

"The brilliant minds behind the Ligo brand mixed with the quirky nostalgia of the Zarah Juan brand brings you this fantastic design sure to stir up memories and at the same time represent hope for our local artisans," said designer Zarah Juan on Instagram as she announced the collaboration.

The limited edition Ligo Sardines Bag comes with a limited edition Ligo Sardines can, designed by Zarah Juan. Only 24 pieces of the cans were ever made.

If you buy a Ligo Sardines Bag, 30% of the sales will go to 24 artisans of Paete and Marikina. Ligo will throw in a generous Christmas basket of Ligo products.

The bag comes in two colors and is available for Php9,500 from https://zarahjuan.com
