If 2017 was the year of K-beauty, then 2018 is for J-beauty, J meaning Japanese. According to British Vogue, Japan will reassert its presence as Asia’s beauty authority.

According to British Vogue, the concepts of “simplicity, understated beauty and energized calm will come to the fore.”

This is not to say that it’s over for K-beauty. It’s just that in terms of beauty, Korea would have to share the limelight.

J-beauty translates to clear, blemish-free skin, flushed cheeks and rosy and glossy lips. Go for liquid blush instead of powder and top your favorite lipstick with lip gloss to achieve this look.
