Content Creator Launches Matcha Brand Maison Midori
The local matcha community got together launch for the official brand launch of Maison Midori, a premium matcha powder line created by content creator and entrepreneur Caitlin Lee.
Maison Midori, a passion project turned brand, traces its roots back to July 2024, when Lee first envisioned creating something that reflected her personal love for matcha.
Her journey with the drink began at just 15, during a family trip to Japan, she fell in love with the earthy, complex flavor of authentic matcha.
Lee’s creativity and entrepreneurial spirit grew during the pandemic when she launched Bread Glossary, an online baking venture. Later, her studies in France introduced her to a café whose authentic matcha left such an impression that she felt inspired to bring the same uncompromising quality to the Philippines. This passion eventually grew into a mission of making high-quality Japanese matcha accessible at a fair price. Maison Midori officially launched in November 2024 with its first line of premium matcha powders, supported by family, friends, and a growing community. In just a few months, the brand gained momentum through events such as the Soirée Bazaar, where Lee sold over 500 matcha drinks during her first pop-up.
This milestone became a turning point that confirmed the brand’s potential.
“From the very beginning, I wanted Maison Midori to be more than a product. I wanted it to be an experience that brings people closer to the heart of matcha,” said Lee. “The launch party is not just a celebration of a brand, but of the community that helped bring this vision to life.”
The launch party marked a new chapter for Maison Midori. Guests were treated to an afternoon of matcha tastings, community connections, and the unveiling of Maison Midori’s latest offering.
“Maison Midori is built on love, faith, and community,” said Lee. “This launch party is our way of saying thank you, and of sharing what’s next. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on.”
