Mascaras should be a girl’s best friend. You can go for a totally bare look but have a little bit of oomph with some mascara. You could have a total glam look but not have popping lashes which makes all the difference.

I personally love mascara. I don’t think I can even live without my trusty tube (or tubes actually). Especially whenever I’m traveling, with all the walking around and busy days, I don’t have much time to beat my mug to the best it can be so I’d settle for some mascara that opens my eyes.

Just like any other beauty product out there, there are so many options and so many kinds of mascara that it may be a bit difficult to find the perfect one for you. So here are our favorites - a mix of holy grails and foolproof products - that you definitely have one of.

1. Benefit BADGal Bang! and Roller Lash Mascara

When it comes to mascara, i’d personally rather have a mini than a full-sized tube. And good thing brands have been aware of this cause mini versions have been popping up everywhere. A personal favorite minis for daily use - Benefit’s BADGal Bang! and Roller Lash Mascara.

I would definitely suggest this for daily use. The formula for both wouldn’t clump your lashes and it doesn’t budge but it’s not difficult to remove at the end of the day. And just like most minis, these got full sized wands which can conveniently cover all your lashes.

2. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I had an internal battle if I was gonna suggest this or Troublemaker from the same brand. Both are so good but Perversion is just too sexy to pass on.

The bristles on its wand are so tiny and thin that you can easily swoop on some product on your eyelashes without having to do the wiggle-wiggle thingy to coat each lash. I’m definitely guilty of using this wand to dip into other products ~sorry not sorry~.

3. Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara

There’s nothing I love more than mascaras with a chunky wand. Maybelline has one of a similar make but Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara just takes the cake. There’s a reason why it’s named like that - the wand is huge and it gives your lashes the biggest, boldest look ever.

4. Sephora Outrageous Volume - Dramatic Volume Waterproof Mascara

When you’re out and about scrolling through or walking around Sephora, don’t be such a snob to their own collections. Sephora’s been making some good products and some mascaras they made are definitely hits.

A personal favorite is the Outrageous Volume Waterproof Mascara. Basically it’s everything it says it is - gives you dramatic volume and is super waterproof, you’d definitely be needing some of that Sephora Eye Makeup Remover within reach.

5. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise

This is a best seller for good reason. We’re skipping the more expensive lookalike of this product and giving this one a slot on our list. Lash Paradise has been receiving all the hype for delivering awesome results. Best part is that it’s a crazy waterproof mascara that is perfect for the Philippines’ humid weather.

I took a risk and put this on before I jumped in a pool for a swim. It budged a bit but it didn’t leave me crying black tears. My lashes remained decent even after a quick swim. But for daily city use, this is perfect. Just make sure you’ve got some eye makeup remover handy.

6. Diorshow Mascara

This is one of my dream mascaras. Celebrity makeup artists swear by it too. The Diorshow mascara is one of those luxury products that are totally worth the price. The wand is gorgeous, its thick, and it’s got microfibers that gives your lashes just a little bit more woosh for a fuller and longer effect.

More than anything, this product has some ingredients that cares for your lashes as well so basically it’s got double purpose. Invest!

7. NARS Climax Mascara

If there’s anything Better Than Sex, it’s Climax. Don’t @ us but it seems like NARS specially formulated this product for crazy Asian eyes where eyelashes just basically vanish when they’re opened. You know what I mean.

The Climax mascara can definitely breathe life and thiccness to even the thinnest lash strands. Plus it comes in this sexy red tube with a thick, gorgeous wand that collects just the right amount of product and covers your lashes beautifully.

8. MILK Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara

You heard that right - Kush. This product’s literally got some cannabis goodness in it. And more than anything, cannabis oil has actually been proven to thicken hair which is basically what we want for our lashes, right? The formula on this mascara is awesomely black but it’s just perfect for daily use. You may want to make sure that it dries on your lashes first before heading out for the rest of your day.

Personally, I think the wand on this one is simply perfect. It’s got those thin strands that I love because it coats lash by lash and it’s got an interesting twist and shape which gives your lashes an interesting dimension.
