Nude or Bold? 2017 Miss U Makeup Artist Tells All
We asked Jaycee Matias, training manager for MAC Philippines and part of the Miss Universe 2016 makeup team, whether the candidates preferred neutral or bright-colored lipstick.
"They normally go for neutral lips because the eye makeup is already bold," said Jaycee.
For Miss Switzerland Dijana Cvijetic, Jaycee used MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy topped with Clear Lip Glass.
But sometimes, makeup rules are meant to be broken. For Miss Georgia Nuka Karalashvili, Jaycee did a bold eyes-red lip combo that looked stunning.
