New Teaser Released For Gianna Jun, Ju Ji-hoon Starrer
Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon star in the iQiyi original K-series “Jirisan,” created by director Lee Eung-bok (“Descendants of The Sun,” “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”) and writer Kim Eun-hee (“Signal,” “Kingdom”).
The series’ latest teaser sees national park rangers Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon search hastily in the forests and multiple suspicious scenarios communicated unusual and quirky ambience. Jirisan will premiere globally on iQiyi on October 23rd and simulcast with Korea.
In the latest teaser trailer, Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon explore the mountains at the beginning but soon find themselves running around anxiously in the forest with several terrifying scenes in sight, such as a smartphone with blood stains or a mountaineer covered in blood in a snowfield. As the characters exclaim, “We were not the only ones on the mountain! Someone murdered people!”, it revealed the unspeakable secrets on Jirisan, a mountain “standing on the border of human world and afterlife”.
Besides Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon, “Jirisan” packs a powerful cast that includes Oh Jung-se (“It's Okay to Not be Okay,” “When the Camellia Blooms”), who won Best Supporting Actor at Baeksang Arts Awards this year, Sung Dong-il (“Reply 1988,” “The Cursed”), Jo Han-chul (“Vincenzo”), Jun Suk-ho (“Kingdom”), and Go Min-si (“Youth of May”). Together, this team protects and safeguards forests and mountains in Jirisan National Park.
Compared to her previous works, said writer Kim Eun-hee, “Jirisan” was “a drama series that saves people”.
The drama tells a story of how an experienced national park ranger (played by Gianna Jun) and a rookie ranger (played by Ju Ji-hoon) unveil secrets hidden in the mountain. The show will exclusively simulcast with Korea on October 23rd on iQiyi International app or iQ.com worldwide.
